Grammy Awards po raz 62 !!!



Zgodnie z przewidywaniami największą zwyciężczynią tegorocznych nagród Grammy została Billie Eilish.

18-letnia piosenkarka Billie Eilish znokautowała rywali podczas niedzielnej ceremonii rozdania nagród Grammy w Los Angeles. Zdobyła je w zaliczanych do najważniejszych kategoriach: Album roku, Piosenka roku, Debiut, a także Nagranie roku oraz Album wokalny pop. Ostatni raz dokonał tego zdobywając wyróżnienia w czterech najważniejszych kategoriach, Christopher Cross w 1981 roku.

Nagrodzonych ogłosili prezenterzy, m.in.: Billy Porter, Keith Urban, Trevor Noah, Shania Twain, Bebe Rexha, Ellen DeGeneres, Dua Lipa, Alicia Keys, Stevie Winder, Ozzy i Sharon Osbourne, Issa Rae, Cynthia Ervio, Little Big Town, Ava DuVernay czy raper Common. Najwięcej nominacji podczas tegorocznej edycji Grammy otrzymali Lizzo – 9, Billie Eilish – 7 oraz Lil Nas X – 6.
Albumem roku został „When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” młodej artystki. Odbierając wcześniej trofeum za piosenkę roku pochodzącą z debiutanckiego albumu Eilish wyznała, że jest to jej pierwsza Grammy i nigdy w życiu się tego nie spodziewała.

18-latka stała się pierwszą piosenkarką, która zdobyła w tym samym roku nagrodę za album roku, piosenkę roku, debiut, nagranie roku oraz album wokalny pop rocku. Jest też najmłodszą artystką, odkąd LeAnn Rimes wyróżniono za debiut w 1997 roku w wieku 14 lat.
Najlepszym albumem country okazał się "While I'm Livin” 25 w karierze Tanyi Tucker krążek, którym artystka powróciła na muzyczny rynek po równo dekadzie. Za piosenkę „Bring My Flowers Now” z Brandie Czrlile otrzymała też statuetkę w kategorii Najlepsza Piosenka Country.
Albumem rap „Igor” wykonawcy Tyler, The Creator, a rockowym "Social Cues," Cage The Elephant.
W kategorii najlepszy album R&B wygrała “Ventura” Anderson Paak, instrumentalny jazz “Finding Gabriel” Brada Mehldau, a wokalny jazz “12 Little Spells” Esperanzy Spalding. Statuetkę za najlepszy teledysk „Old Town Road” otrzymali Lil Nas X & Billy Ray Cyrus.
Najlepszy album z Muzyką Pop Latino to „#ELDISCO” Alejandro Sanza, Patty Griffin dostała Grammy za LP „Patty Griffin” w kategorii Najlepszy Album Folk a Najlepsza Płyta w kategorii World Music- „Celia” Angelique Kidjo.
Akademia wyróżniła także zastrzelonego w minionym roku rapera Nipseya Hussle'a, który pośmiertnie zdobył Grammy dla najlepszego wykonawcy rap. Otrzymał ją wraz z Roddym Ricchem i Hit-Boyem. Ermias Joseph Asghedom (15 sierpnia 1985 r. - 31 marca 2019 r.), znany pod pseudonimem Nipsey Hussle, był amerykańskim aktywistą, przedsiębiorcą i raperem.
Pośród plejady wykonawców występujących na ceremonii znaleźli się m.in. Camila Cabello, Tanya Tucker, Ariana Grande, Run DMC, Demo Lovato, H.E.R., Aerosmith, Gwen Stefani oraz Blake Shelton. Towarzyszyły im m.in. małe orkiestry, chórki, tancerze oraz stepujący artyści.
Seria przyznawanych nagród rozpoczęła się od uhonorowania Lizzo. Dostała trofeum dla najlepszego wykonawcy muzyki pop. Także ona była pierwszą wykonawczynią prezentującą się podczas gali w Staples Arena. Wokalistka dedykowała swój występ Kobe Bryantowi, koszykarzowi LA Lakers, który w niedzielę zginął w katastrofie helikoptera.
